No Scam Left Behind (NSLB) is a free education project. We turn official guidance from sources like the FTC, FBI, and CISA into short, plain-language checklists anyone can follow, and a quick self-check that shows where to start.
NSLB is a brand of Apex 42 Holdings LLC, a private company. We aren't part of, affiliated with, or endorsed by any government or law enforcement agency. We can't take fraud reports or investigate cases.
How we score
The NSLB Essentials Quiz asks 20 questions in 5 areas: Basic Scam Recognition & Verification, Accounts & Devices, Identity & Credit, Payments & Money, and Privacy & Exposure. Each question has a weight from 1 to 10 based on how much we think it matters, using public data plus our own judgment. Some weights rest on strong evidence and some on less. Another expert could weigh things differently.
- Each answer earns full, partial, or no credit. Your score is your weighted credit out of 100.
- "I'm not sure" scores 0, because a protection you can't confirm is one you can't count on. The matching checklist shows you how to check.
- Questions that don't apply to you (no close family, no crypto) are left out of your score entirely.
- Tiers: Easy Target (0-49), Average Habits (50-74), Solid Habits (75-89), NSLB Champion (90-100 plus four extra checks: every area at 70+, an authenticator app or stronger 2FA, always verifying unexpected requests, and no zero on any top-weighted question), and NSLB Hero (95-100, all four checks, plus full credit on one extra question about backup hardware security keys).
- If you score 90+ but miss one of the four checks, you stay at Solid Habits, and your results say which check is missing.
- NSLB Champion is the highest tier reachable with free tools only. Every quiz question has a free full-credit option.
- NSLB Hero is our top tier. Reaching it usually means you've also adopted some paid tools or services—of any brand you choose. We never require our links, we don't ask what you bought or where, and purchases through NSLB don't affect your score. Heroes still get targeted; this isn't a certification that your accounts are secure. The extra Hero question appears only after you reach NSLB Champion, and it doesn't change your score.
- Champion is the top free-tools tier; Hero may reflect paid practices. Scoring still never depends on affiliate clicks or purchases, which brand someone used, or whether they used an NSLB link. Every paid practice that can earn Hero credit also accepts any brand (or a clearly labeled free alternative where one truly exists).
- "Average Habits" is based on your answers, not a comparison with others.

NSLB is powered by A.I. tools that are utilized to help research and write. Content is human reviewed before it's published.
Accessibility
